Target Audience:
Any healthcare-related worker who leads meetings
Program Description:
With as much time as is spent in meetings and knowing the expense of pulling individuals from other work to gather together, it’s important to ensure each meeting runs smoothly and achieves its intended purpose. That’s easier said than done. Facilitating a productive meeting requires a wide variety of skills—leadership, communication, conflict management, organization, decision-making, to name just a few—along with adaptability and a little finesse. Join us for this workshop if you’re interested in getting more accomplished in your meetings with less hassle!
Participants will learn to:
- Learn how to determine if a meeting is necessary and what type/format would be most effective
- Develop a scheduling strategy to address when, where, and how a meeting should occur
- Incorporate planning skills to ensure meeting results are achieved
- Learn how to facilitate both the agenda & relationships to deliver productive results
- Establish mechanisms to ensure ongoing effectiveness and accountability
Consider taking this workshop if the following are mostly true for you:
- You are new to facilitating meetings
- You find that some of your meetings aren’t as productive as you’d like
- People aren’t consistently prepared when coming to meetings
- It’s not always clear who’s doing what after a meeting
- You feel as though you walk away with the bulk of the work to be done after a meeting concludes
- You have a team with diverse personalities and it can be challenging to align them
- You experience some disruptive behaviors during meetings that hinders progress
