Event Starts: 6/4/2024 9:00 AM Event Ends: 6/11/2024 12:00 PM
We talk about it constantly – retention. The trick is planning ahead and knowing how to keep our star performers engaged and challenged and the services of our departments or facilities running. So much more than traditional orientation, onboarding seeks to not only provide the supportive training to allow new team members to be successful performing their roles; it also ensures these new hires build roots with their teams and the organization, which has been shown to statistically improve retention. Join this interactive workshop to explore how you, as a leader, can support the important work of onboarding and begin building the framework of onboarding for your team and all its members.

Hand in Hand Skills: Project Management and Team Facilitation - 2024
Event Starts: 6/6/2024 Event Ends: 6/13/2024
Organizations regularly get projects completed through the work of teams. Facilitating or leading a project team is different than being an individual go-getter. It requires facilitation skills to leverage results from a diverse group of people and tools to move your project from idea to closure. This workshop combines key features of two previously separate workshops into one practical skill building session.

Mental Health First Aid - June 10 - 2024
Event Starts: 6/10/2024 8:00 AM Event Ends: 6/10/2024 4:30 PM
We talk about it constantly – retention. We know it’s important. The trick is planning ahead and knowing how to keep our star performers engaged and challenged and the services of our departments running. We get so busy in the day to day that we don’t take the time we know we should to think through how to invest in those we most would hate to lose from our organizations or how to build more bench strength for our services. We also know how vital it is to be thinking ahead and preparing our future leaders to fill the shoes of current leaders so there is less transition from one to the next. These feelings are quite common in individuals that work in healthcare along with high-achieving leaders. It has been recognized to affect both men and women equally. It disrupts our ability to get out of our own way, get things done, develop meaningful relationships and ultimately achieve the greatness we deserve.

Lateral Violence- Dealing with Disruptive Behaviors - 2024
Event Starts: 7/2/2024 9:00 AM Event Ends: 7/2/2024 3:30 PM
A silent killer has made its way into the health care system, has slowly eaten away at the core of who we are as professionals, and has impacted the culture of health care. This epidemic is known as lateral violence or sometimes referred to as horizontal violence. Lateral violence and bullying have been extensively reported and documented among health care professionals with serious negative outcomes for patients, staff and employers. These disruptive behaviors are toxic to the health care profession and have a negative impact on retention of quality staff. “Eating our young” is no longer acceptable and it is time that we shed some light on this darkness that permeates our organizations. This workshop is designed to help you understand the ramifications of allowing lateral violence to continue and persist, to recognize the most common behaviors, and to develop methods/techniques to address and prevent ongoing hostility.

Empower
Empowering Vs. Enabling - 2024
Event Starts: 7/18/2024 9:00 AM Event Ends: 7/25/2024 12:00 PM
In a world that can value task performance over relationship building, it is vital to slow down and invest in the patients and staff that we work with on a daily basis. How you approach inquiry affects your relationships, your ability to get work completed, and ultimately your success as a leader and or health care provider. By asking the right questions, at the right time, you can move an individual away from a state of ambiguity and uncertainty, towards finding motivation to make positive decisions and accomplish established goals.
